Hi Vicki and Roger,
I just thought I would let you know that YOR Gold Medal (Ice to me) won the Senior High Point Buckle for the Calgary Western Riders Gymnkhana Club for 2005. I was showing your website to a friend last night and she asked me where was my picture under horses sold. I told her I've never sent you one but I will. 2005 was the first year I seriously competed on Ice and of course he pulled through with flying colors. He is one fast little sucker. I am penning on him and he is the best penning horse I have ever ridden. He's almost lost me a couple of times when he cut a cow when I wasn't ready. He has quite the fan club among the people that pen at the same place I do. I know he could go on to much greatness if someone decided to get off her duff and do it but I am very happy piddling around doing what I do.
I hear Reggie is coming out to get Nitro. That is very exciting and I would love to watch Roger ride him.
I hope everything is going well for you and that I will one day be able to visit with you again.
Take care,
Pat Hyndman

APRIL 21, 2005:

Hi Vicki,
As you can see Cruise has settled in very well.
I can't believe we've only had him three weeks!
He has now been out by himself trail riding twice, and today we went with my friend riding one of my other horses. Cruise is great on the trails. He really seems to enjoy himself and is so good when he is by himself also (no other horses around.) He is a brave boy and has crossed bridges and gone through mud.

Sunday, I had him at a friends arena, and we got to chase cattle...practising for when he becomes a heading horse (if I ever let Bruce ride him!) He was very fast and really enjoyed it! The last two steers he stretched right out and was even looking like he wanted to bite them!

He is so affectionate and calm and he really seems to enjoy people and their company.
I am just crazy about him! We get along great and he really seems to like me. I love his calm nature and I feel very safe with him.
The problem is one of the reasons I wanted him was for friends to ride him while I rode my other appy, but now I like Cruise so much I don't want anyone else riding him!! He's my horse!
Thanks for breeding/raising/training such a great horse!
We're going to have a fun summer together!
Sarah.

Feb/2005 - A note from Mark in England...What happens when you take a hairy horse out of Canada in mid-winter - going from -45C to balmy England with green grass ? Apparently, they like to do a lot of rolling in the mud ! This is "Norm" happily in his new home, near London.

JUNE 2004 email from Ted and Robynne Woodaz, Michigan, USA: (new owners of YOR Fancy Pants) "How are things there? Hopefully all the foals have come and everyone is fine.
We are doing well. Last weekend was our first show. Fancy did very well. I kind of threw things at her that I am sure she was really confused about. I put her in English Pleasure Jr.horse classes and English Equitation. She did very well. We took 1st in Equitation and 2nds in Pleasure. We also took 1sts in Reining and Western Riding. It was a 2 day show. We did just as well the 2nd day. I was very happy, considering that I had only rode her several times before the show and we don't know each other well yet.

" someone offered me $10,000 for him...

April 3, 2003

from “Linda Toller” ltoller@winspeer.com  about her High Noon gelding named “YOR Ace High” (You can email Linda by clicking on her red email address above)

“Hi guys!!  Hope you got some of the snow that was flying!

Had Ace in a clinic last weekend and he jumped his first jump!   He doesn't have any "refuse" in him.  We did a whole course, and most of the horses trotted it like he did, because it was so low, but he did actually jump one fence.  He is doing really well and every one loves him.

I said to one of the girls in the clinic that I could consider selling him if someone offered me $10,000 for him (who wouldn't like to make money on a horse!) and the next morning at 8:00 am I got a call on someone who wanted to buy him.  He is such a perfect horse, I couldn't sell him.  The trainer at the clinic, she was very sceptical when I bought him, told me I was NOT to sell him because he moved so well and he had such a great mind.  So there you go.  High praise from that lady. She has taught Pony Club and raised horses for about 50 years.

Thank you for producing Ace.  He is a total sweetheart - he comes when he is called and has really good arena manners (thanks to the round pen work I did with him) and we are going to do just great.  I hope to show him in the Appaloosa show this August in equitation, baby green jumping and trail.

He comes home May 1 so I can ride him in the mountains with Pat and Ice for the summer, as well as train in our ring here.  He trailers very well now too.

Will keep in touch!  Linda”

March 28, 2003 from “Margaret ” in England about her High Noon stud colt named “YOR Spot Doctor” (9 months old at this time) You can email Margaret Hattersley directly by clicking on this email address margarethattersley@hotmail.com

“Last Saturday I saw an advert for a horse show at the local college, so had to go. Spot had a bath and was very good. We entered him into a class for yearlings, two year and three year olds. There were 15 horses in the class of all breeds and different heights. His behaviour was excellent and we only went to give him the experience and a change of scenery. He came second, You would have been very proud of him. You would have thought he had done this many times before. He is a credit to you. Will send you photographs as soon as possible. Thanks, Margaret”

March 10, 2003 from “Margaret” in England about “YOR Spot Doctor”.

“Good Afternoon Vicki,
Thank you for your e-mail. Bill is thrilled to be taking Spot to Royal Windsor
Horse Show in May. We have had so many visitors to see this very special
foal, that Anne who I share the yard with as suggested that we get a
visitors book. So when I am next out shopping I will have to get him
one. He already as a fan club in 2 small children who come to feed him
carrots. I have just been to the farm to give him his lunch and as soon as

he sees you he comes to the gate. The weather is much warmer now and all the

spring flowers are in bloom.

Vicki I would like to send you a thank you gift for allowing us to buy Spot, is there anything you collect etc ? Do please let me know. If you are ever in England we would love you to come and spend some time with us. We are not to far from London.

Our good wishes to you and your family
            MARGARET”

Feb 21, 2003 from “Irina Weese”  rweese@tctwest.net about “YOR NoonDay Son” at 3 years old – trained as a trick horse. You can email Irina and Ray by clicking on the blue email address above ...

Noon feels great. Is on a mixture of grass hay and alfalfa, has recovered from the long haul and showed me yesterday that he still remembers the bowing . I just touched his right front leg and he lifted it up and I led his leg backwards a bit. I didn't ask for a lot or long time, but we will remember it all. He is a very, very intelligent horse. I'll leave him to rest for a week to get settled in so his system can get used to the new environment .

March 14, 2003 from “Irina Weeseabout her High Noon gelding “YOR NoonDay Son” trained as a trick horse.

“Noon is settled in, he is a fine horse. He is very obedient, learns fast and is just a sweety . First it was too cold , now it is too soggy . But he goes out with me on the ‘playground’ everyday and I've given him another gelding to play with . After 2 hours I call - and he immediately comes loping up, sticks his head into the halter and then we go home , he gets a groom and a cuddle and a treat and is a happy horse. He loves to play with the stallions over the fence, too. Hope that I can ride , soon . But we have grown very , very fond of Noon and Ray always brings him an extra tidbit. Thanks, Irina.”

April 23, 2003 from “Irina” about “YOR NoonDay Son”

"Rode Noon yesterday , absolute gentleman , hasn't forgotten anything . I coached him through my trail parcours ( with buckets on barrels and pipes to step over and across etc. etc.)

He did really well and enjoyed it ! "

High Noon son "YOR White Hot" with one of his first foals...Email Jodi & Terry - click HERE.

Hi Roger and Vicki,

Just want you to know how much we enjoy our Stallion YOR WhiteHot. I have been showing him in several Non Pro classes this summer and he is doing really well, he is so quiet that nobody knows he is a stallion. He is a joy to be around and ride, and he is so talented I can ride him in most anything. Of course he was also a 100% color producer for us this spring, this is the first time that has ever happened to us! Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to own such a nice stallion, Terry and Jodi Striefel
